Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Carlson, Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Nevada State College, can be described by numbers: 7 - He bikes seven miles every class day to go to Nevada State College and back home. 6 - He has taught classes at six different colleges and universities (BYU, UNM, Oregon, USU, Arizona, Nevada State College). 5 - He has five children to whom he enjoys reading children's books. 4 - He has performed publicly on four different musical instruments (Piano, Organ, French Horn, Recorder). 3 – He owns three telescopes with which to observe the heavens. 2 - He has placed in the finals of two ballroom dance competitions. 1 – He belongs to one community choir, the Red Mountain Choir in Boulder City.
