Professor Bachman received her B.S. in Mathematics from the Universidade de Brasilia, Brazil. She then earned an M.S. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before moving to Las Vegas, she worked at the Commonwealth Edison Company in Chicago. She has taught math and statistics at the University of Illinois, the University of Nevada Las Vegas and has been teaching at Nevada State College since its inception.
