Member Messaging System Enhanced with Folders
Members may now create their own folders within their messaging center to categorize and organize their messages.

Messaging Center Enhanced - File Attachment Added!
The messaging center has been updated with enhanced usability and new features. You may now multi-select messages in your inbox and mark them and "read" or "unread" and you may also mass delete your messages. The image attachment function now allows for the attachment of files and documents as well. You now have the option to send files to specific members.

New online community feature!
You now have the ability to add comments to news items and email links of news items to friends.

New online community feature!
The blog system has now been enhanced to provide embedded video entries as part of the overall blog system functionality. You can now paste links to offsite videos directly into the blog entries of the website.

New online community feature!
Site members can now create personalized URLs to link directly to their member profiles. Click on "Edit Profile" from within "My Profile" menu. An example of a personalized URL would be http://onlinecommunity.nsc.nevada.edu/member/mickeymouse

Want to view the most popular networks of your fellow members from sites like Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, YouTube, LinkedIn and more?
Click "My Networks" from within your "My Profile" menu to view the social and professional network profiles of other members and add your networks as well!
If you find a fellow Scorpion on one of the sites, encourage them to join our exclusive, password-protected NSC Alumni Association site!

New online community feature!
You can now access the alumni site via a variety of web-enabled mobile devices, including Windows Mobile phones and PDAs, the Apple iPhone, the Palm Treo and similar Palm OS devices, BlackBerry smart phones and more.

NSC Alumni Association Executive Council Meeting

The first official meeting of the newly elected Alumni Association Executive Council was held today. The next alumni event is being planned for Spring. We are looking for volunteers to serve on the Planning Committee for this event. Interested? Please email alumni@nsc.nevada.edu.

Election time!
This year, the NSC Alumni Association elections will be held online.  Electronic ballots will be accessible from August 31 to September 21, 2007. An email was sent out with a link to online ballots to all of the Nevada State College graduates. If you are NSC alumnus/alumna who did not receive the email, please notify alumni@nsc.nevada.edu and include your full name and preferred email address. Winners of the election will be announced on Wednesday, September 26, 2007.  Thank you in advance for voting and we hope to see you at our next event!

The Alumni Association is holding its first official Alumni Association meeting on Friday, June 22, 2007 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Nevada State College now offers you free @alumni.nsc.nevada.edu e-mail forwarding service to make keeping in touch a lot easier. Please note that this is not an email address; it is a message relay service that you may use to keep a stable email address over time. All emails sent to your alumni email will get forwarded to your current mailbox.
